Sunny Deol’s much-awaited war drama Border 2 continues its unstoppable run at the box office. Even on its seventh day, the film showed remarkable strength across India, proving that audience interest remains rock-solid. From strong occupancies in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities to steady collections in metros, Border 2 has completed its first week on a triumphant note.
Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, Krishan Kumar, and Nidhi Dutta, the film stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahaan Shetty, and Sonam Bajwa in key roles. Day 7 Occupancy Report
On its seventh day (Thursday), Border 2 witnessed a mixed but encouraging trend. Morning shows were relatively slow, but footfalls picked up significantly during the afternoon and evening.

- Pune: 25–30% occupancy across afternoon and evening shows with 495 shows.

The film is performing strongly overseas as well. By the end of Day 6, Border 2 had earned around ₹38–40 crore overseas, pushing its worldwide gross to over ₹311 crore. After Day 7, the global figure is expected to cross ₹330 crore, making it one of the fastest Indian films to achieve this milestone in 2026.
Trade Reactions
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh declared the film a “blockbuster,” praising its performance on working weekdays and its dominance in smaller cities.
He wrote that Border 2 did not rely on discounted tickets yet still delivered massive numbers, especially in Tier-2 and Tier-3 centres where word-of-mouth is exceptionally strong.
